AC Milan reignite interest in Liverpool midfielder
Liverpool midfielder Naby Keita is back in AC Milan’s orbit thanks to Ralf Rangnick who discovered and helped him launch his career at Red Bull.
The career of Naby Keita at Liverpool has failed to take off. The 25-year-old Guinean midfielder is not a regular starter for Jurgen Klopp. In the Premier League Keita has made only nine appearances this season, playing only once for the entire 90 minutes.
In 2017, the Reds spent 65 million euros to snatch the talented midfielder from Red Bull Leipzig. At that time he was the most expensive signing in the history of Liverpool. Expectations have certainly not been respected by Keita and next summer he is sure to leave, perhaps on loan.
Naby Keita wants to relaunch his career and several Bundesliga clubs are thinking of giving him a chance, but the midfielder is also an interested idea for AC Milan reports MilanLive.
The Rossoneri tried to purchase the box-to-box midfielder in the past but without success. Now with Liverpool looking to sign Ruben Neves from Wolverhampton, bringing him to Italy could be much easier.
Keita is a player that future AC Milan coach Ralf Rangnick knows very well. It was the German who signed him first for RB Salzburg and latter orchestrated his transfer to RB Leipzig. Rangnick discovered him and therefore could be a key factor in the choice of his future team.
